This work is based on the book ‘Lolita’ by Vladimir Nabokov, from which I’ve tried to capture the curious side of Lolita and on the fairytale ‘Little Red Riding hood’
It is she, Lolita, who seduces Humber, her sequester, from the very first moment they meet, and it is she who holds the cards in this game while he is completely dependent on this little girl.
Little Red Riding hood has been given the symbolism of prostitution or the ‘easy girl’, an example of how a girl should not behave. This is the reason why I’ve used a flaming red colour for the photographic sequence, in which I’ve reproduced the key moment in Nabokov’s book, the moment in which Lolita decides to give herself to Humbert

The woman is a beautiful creature, Sex is a beautiful thing and liberty is the most important goal one can reach for. As Carol Rama said: “Eroticism to me is completely refusing any form of bashfulness, it is sensuality, interaction with all senses, with the body, female and masculine, seen and dissected in all the anatomic parts. Who lives intimacy freely is free, that person is outside of any iconography or conventions.


Questo lavoro si basa sulla lettura del libro ‘Lolita’ di Vladimir Nabokov, dal quale ho cercato di captare il lato intraprendente di Lolita, e la favola di Cappuccetto Rosso.
È lei, Lolita, che seduce Humbert il suo rapitore dal primo momento del loro incontro ed è lei che conduce il gioco, mentre lui è completamente succube di questa piccola ragazzina.
A Cappuccetto Rosso invece è stato data la simbologia della prostituta o la ragazza di facile costume, un esempio di ragazza da non seguire. Per questo ho applicato un rosso fiammeggiante alla sequenza di foto nella quale ho riprodotto il momento chiave del romanzo di Nabokov, ovvero il momento in cui Lolita decide di offrirsi a Humbert.

La Donna è un essere bellissimo, il Sesso è una cosa bellissima e la Libertà è la cosa più importante che possiamo raggiungere. Come dice Carol Rama: “L’erotismo per me è il rifiuto di ogni puderia, è sensualità, rapporto con i sensi, col corpo, femminile e maschile, visto e sezionato nelle sue parti anatomiche, in tutte le sue parti e funzioni. Chi vive una libertà intimistica è libero, è fuori dall’iconografia, dalle convenzioni.”.
